Get to know Brian T. Jones

Brian T. Jones began his legal career with Attorney John Earl Hunt, a former Commonwealth Attorney and Administrative Law Judge, at a prominent law firm close to his hometown in Eastern Kentucky. While there, Mr. Jones worked on behalf of individuals injured at work, in motor vehicle accidents, and those seeking disability benefits. During his time in law school, Mr. Jones fell in love with Louisville and decided to make it his permanent home. In 2014, Mr. Jones co-founded Boyd & Jones Attorneys-at-Law with friend and former law school classmate, Robert Boyd, and established his place in the community. 

Mr. Jones earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. Prior to law school, Mr. Jones earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky.

Mr. Jones is currently a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Kentucky Justice Association, and American Association for Justice.

Mr. Jones' current practice focuses on workers' compensation, disability, and representing those who have been harmed by the negligence of others in matters pertaining to personal injury, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall, premises liability, and dog-bites. Additionally, Mr. Jones' background in business and accounting allows him to effectively facilitate and tailor the process of entity formation for individuals looking to start their own business.

Get to know Robert E. Boyd

Robert E. Boyd was raised in a blue-collar household in South Louisville. He is the son of a line worker at General Electric and a kindergarten assistant teacher for Jefferson County Public Schools. This upbringing was pivotal when choosing to open his practice in the Okolona/Highview area. He knew upon entering the University of Louisville's Brandeis School of Law that helping his fellow community members when in need was his calling. Going to work for a large firm was never a consideration.

As a born and raised Louisvillian, Robert began studying at the University of Louisville's College of Business and Public Administration. While majoring in business administration and minoring in marketing, he formed a limited liability company to handle services and construction contracting. This experience led to his participation in such programs as Shelter Care Plus and St. Vincent DePaul, assisting in transitioning some of Louisville's homeless population to permanent housing.

Robert focuses his practice primarily on criminal defense and family law. Facing criminal charges or dealing with family issues can be the most difficult and challenging points in a person's life. His understanding of this and his sensitivity to each client's individual needs separate him from other lawyers. Intellect, tenacity, and a true desire to advocate for each client are all guaranteed in his representation.

Robert was a founding member of the Business Law Society while attending law school and is currently a member of the American Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, as well as a part of its Young Lawyer's Division.
